Christina Lepore is a mental health worker and mental wellness coach, bestselling Author and a passionate advocate in supporting mental health initiatives and care for over 25 years. Her knowledge is exemplified through her lived experience with PTSD.
Christina’s life’s mission is to utilize all the skills she’s mastered over the decades to help others improve their quality of life. She offers an unique perspective, from both sides of the medication window, as both a former psychiatric nurse and patient.
Christina has been published on The Mighty and Elephant Journal. She is a co-author in the international bestseller Courage for Freedom in Personal Transformation and is currently writing her debut non-fiction narrative entitled “Where the Truth lies: Frozen In Time. A Memoir of Complex PTSD.’
Christina graduated from Fanshawe College in 1992 and worked at VON, St Joseph’s Health Care Centre and London Regional Mental Health, for over a decade. She also was the owner and operator of an OPI for at – risk youth and ran a treatment children’s residence and foster care, through Ausable Family Services for 11 years; out of her own home. She is an active member, and advocate of various youth endeavours. After a brief stint in Ministry, Christina became a Certified Massage Practitioner in deep tissue and hot stone which compliments her wellness / self-care packages. She is a long time advocate for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, as well as mental health initiatives.
When she is not writing, speaking, coaching or volunteering, Christina works part-time as a Mental Health Worker in Crisis Services at CMHA. She enjoys a good debate, reading, dancing, carpool karaoke, Italian food, walking the beach, baking sweets, playing with her dogs and spending time with her family.
